After taking a day off on Saturday the Statement Department at Ibrox has provided further useless information today.

At 5pm, with no name attached, the company issued another critical communication aimed at the body that has Stewart Robertson on their board of directors.

In a statement with no real point they published:

THERE are key issues to be discussed and agreed within Scottish football including the circumstances and dates on which football can resume, the health and safety of all involved and the financial implications for members.

It is vital that those involved in making those decisions have the confidence and support of member clubs. An independent investigation provides a route to achieving this.

It has always been Rangers’ intention to produce our evidence at the appropriate time. The evidence will be provided to all member clubs well in advance of a general meeting to approve an independent investigation.

Neither of the last two statements have included calls for Neil Doncaster and Rod McKenzie to resign.

The current dispute started off about the procedures involved in a vote carried out in accordance with Company Law.

Today the focus seems to be towards the safe return of football and the financial implications for members.

Had they proposed the introduction of Financial Fair Play in line with UEFA there would be less for the Ibrox club, who reported a £10m shortfall in November, to be worried about.
