This is not how Rangers used to behave- Donald Findlay hits out

Donald Findlay is set to slam the actions of ‘Rangers’ on BBC Scotland Nine flagship news magazine tonight.

During the glory days of the nineties Findlay was vice-chairman of Rangers, a True-Blue raised in the traditions to balance out some of the 21st century ideas introduced by Dave Murray. He is currently chairman of Cowdenbeath where he has been a director for the last decade.

Leading an anti-Catholic singalong on stage with first team players following the 1999 Scottish Cup Final led to his resignation. Unfortunately for Findlay, one of the most famous legal minds in Scotland at the time, his actions were captured on an old school camcorder and handed to the Daily Record.

‘How Rangers should behave’ is certainly open to interpretation, for some it is to use whatever scam is needed to stop Celtic while some of an older generation go on about dignity and respect without being able to cite any examples.

More than three weeks ago Douglas Park called for the suspensions of SPFL duo Neil Doncaster and Rod McKenzie based on the evidence of a whistle-blower. That evidence has now been turned into a dossier.

On Monday the SPFL announced that an EGM will be held on May 12, so far there is still no sign of the dossier or any other evidence emerging from Ibrox.
