None of UEFA’s 55 member associations raised the idea of cancelling the 2019/20 season.
A few lone pundits, notably Alex Rae have been talking up the possibility at any opportunity as they see Celtic within touching distance of winning their ninth successive title.
The only options that leagues have is to resume when the suspension is over which appears to be everyone’s preferred option or to declare the current standings as the final positions.
UEFA: Today’s conference call lasted just under two and a half hours. Not one association raised cancelling this season. European football still wants to finish current season – but only when safe to do so. #SSN #UEFA #COVID19

Neil Lennon has gone on record that he’d prefer to see the season completed but the further that is pushed into the future the more difficult it becomes due to contract issues and the arrival of the Transfer Window.
The fact that cancellation/Null and Void wasn’t even discussed by UEFA shows that there is no substance to the argument other than a desperate attempt by some to delete the failings of Steven Gerrard.

Today news emerged from Belgium that Club Brugge will be announced as champions after 29 rounds of fixtures. With a 13 point lead after 30 matches, whatever way it happens, it is only a matter of timing before Celtic are announced as 2019/20 SPFL champions.
