The latest Adidas concept kit to appear on Twitter has received mixed reviews from Celtic supporters.
A bold yellow top with the three strips treatment and a check running through it looks similar to the Umbro away kit of the late eighties worn by Paul McStay, Peter Grant and Tommy Burns.
One problem would be that the current away kit is a yellow top with green trim but the stamp of Adidas will ensure that all kits released this year will sell in huge numbers.
Celtic confirmed that they had signed a five year deal with Adidas on March 13, the same date that football was suspended by the SFA and SPFL.
That deal is due to start on July 1 with the current signs suggesting that there will be no football played before that date meaning that the current New Balance deal will have expired.
In previous seasons Celtic have had a launch event to unveil their new kit but with Lock Down and Social Distancing in place it’s more likely that the new kits will be launched online.

That’s tremendous but I suspect Umbro would have something to say about it.

Only saying no to this because we have an away yellow shirt this season. Doubt we’d have that 2 seasons in a row
