Putting together Kris Boyd and mug is just too much of an open goal for most Scottish football fans to miss out on.
The former Scotland striker has had the misfortune to be trying to push a media career at the worst possible time- a period of sustained success for Celtic. Despite scoring more than 200 goals in the SPL and SPFL he only managed to net once against the hoops.
Boyd was off on his travels at Eskisehirspor and Portland Timbers when the nine-in-a-row run got underway.

Since returning to his native Ayrshire he’s had two stints at Rugby Park either side of a season at Ibrox as Celtic have continued to rack up the title wins.
At the end of 2019 it looked like the tide was turning as Boyd celebrated a win for Steven Gerrard’s side in the Glasgow derby but less than a month later he was losing his composure as Leigh Griffiths gestured towards him after scoring away to Kilmarnock.
The mug above is from a screen capture during Sky Sports, how unusual someone making a mug out of Boyd.
