The fearless Celtic cyclists ventured into the lions den, with a brief stop outside of the Louden Tavern in preparation of conformation that the hoops have won the 2019/20 Premiership title.

Any title is one to recognise and celebrate but when it hits the magic number 9 it is something extra special.

Back in 2012 three sides of Rugby Park celebrated a 6-0 rout over Kilmarnock, at the time 10-in-a-row was the wish with Neil Lennon, Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers racking up the titles.

Lennon is now back in charge and on the brink of joining Jock Stein as the second Celtic boss to steer the club to a ninth successive title.

The board of the SPFL were given the backing of more than 80% of member clubs to award this season’s divisions based on average points per game.

Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers have already collected their titles and prize money. On Monday at 10am Premiership clubs are hosting a conference call with confirmation of the champions expected around lunch-time.
