Neil Lennon savoured Celtic’s title success and left no-one in any doubt about Celtic’s domination and his determination to build on the ninth successive title.

A year ago, after a three month stint as caretaker, the Irishman was confirmed as permanent manager with a large portion of the Celtic support hoping for a more glamorous manager to follow Brendan Rodgers.

Across the city Lennon’s appointment was mocked, a step down from the former Liverpool boss which apparently left the door open for the 2019/20 Premiership title.

Celtic did their talking on the park, starting with the first Glasgow derby in September where their 2-0 win was celebrated by a small knot of 800 fans in the corner.

There was a lot of noise when Celtic lost the return fixture but when the season was suspended at the start of March a massive gap of 13 points and 25 gals had been established over Steven Gerrard’s side.

Paul Cudihy: And Glasgow continues to be Green and White?

Neil Lennon: It is green and white, its been a long time since its been any other colour. We hope to maintain that high standard of entertaining, quality football for the supporters as we go along.

The quest for 10 starts at some unknown date but with Lennon at the helm every effort will be made to win the Scottish title for an unprecedented 10th time.
