Michael Stewart has asked the big question that the MSM has avoided like a title party at Ibrox.
How does a club with a £10m shortfall for the current season, that hasn’t hosted a match since March 12 manage to buy a £4m rated Romanian starlet?
Within two hours of tweeting the question more than 1,200 replies were posted. It remains to be seen if Stewart is left out of the panel on BBC Sportsound tomorrow afternoon.
There are two possible explanations to this transfer tale. On the one hand it could be just another feel-good story to keep Ibrox fans engaged and buying season tickets or they have found a secret funding option knowing that the SFA, SPFL and every club in Scotland has no interest in Financial Fair Play?
Ianis Hagi is getting the full on treatment with claims that Manchester City, Spurs and Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the former Fiorentina flop.
After returning from Italy to play for Viitorol, the club owned by his daddy, he was on the move last summer with Genk for a fee claimed to be worth 10m euros.
Six matches into his new career in Belgium Genk decided that they’d rather play Eboue Kouassi with Hagi shifted to Ibrox on loan in January with no interest from the EPL.
His arrival coincided with the collapse of the title challenge from Steven Gerrard’s side.
Now with the media refusing to go near the sale of the Albion Car Park speculation about Hagi stopping 10-in-a-row is being used to shift season tickets.
I see some media reporting that Rangers are closing in on a £5m signing of Hagi. Can anyone explain how the club lost £11m, was needing £10m to see the season out, then Coronavirus hit and has deferred huge amounts in wages but can be linked with a £5m signing?

You could ask the SFA Licensing Committee. They should have the accounts.
