Odsonne Eduoard has revealed the key role that Kole Toure played as he settled in to life at Celtic.
The former Liverpool defender retired at the end of the 2016/17 season and instantly moved into a coaching role under Brendan Rodgers.
Edouard had a difficult loan spell at Toulouse before joining Celtic where playing time was limited as Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths shared striking duties.
As a teenager on loan in a foreign country it would have been easy to agitate for a return to Paris Saint Germain but Celtic are now enjoying the benefits of the extra-time that Toure put in on the training ground.
(15) « Kolo Touré helped me a lot, talked to me all the time. After trainings, I stayed 30-40min with him to work more. I never gave up, I stayed focused and serious. I was waiting for the manager to give me a chance to shine. The most important thing is to take your chance. »

After a hat-trick against December in December 2017 there was no doubting the fact that Edouard had everything needed to succeed at Celtic.
Once he had scored a winning goal at Ibrox and a double in the title-clincher a permanent deal became a priority for Celtic with Edouard signing a four year contract in June 2018.
