A new fan video has emerged of Shunsuke Nakamura’s title winning goal at Kilmarnock in 2007.
The SPL race had effectively been over for some time but Gordon Strachan’s side were making heavy weather of getting over the finishing line.
A Sunday afternoon win at Kilmarnock would have clinched the title with four matches still to be played but with time running out the match was level at 1-1. The party looked to be on hold.
An unusual view of Nakamura winning the title at Rugby Park with that last minute free kick. Killie fans half filling the stand opposite, they wisened up in 2012 & made a lot of money by letting Celtic fans fill that stand. pic.twitter.com/SuPPZYqRVc

Woah. What a view. Completely different. Such a different free kick from him. “Hit it Naka “

Earlier in the season Nakamura had scored home and away against Manchester United from free-kicks but goalkeepers couldn’t read where he would place the ball.
True to form he stepped up, the fans were on their feet in anticipation and with one majestic contact the ball was delivered into the Kilmarnock net.
Nakamura spent four seasons at Celtic, winning the SPL title three times and leaving a legacy in terms of dedication as he prepared and recovered from matches in a way that no one else had considered.
