Roy Keane went on a trade-mark rant as he provided Sky Sports with a chilling half-time analysis of Manchester United at Tottenham last night.
The former Old Trafford skipper is the most watchable pundit on TV, with EPL matches taking on the aura of training ground exercises tuning into Keano is more entertaining than the 90 minutes of ‘action’.
United were as flat as the atmosphere during the first half with Steven Bergwijn’s first half goal not good viewing for their defence.
The Dutchman got away from Harry Maguire as if he wasn’t there then cracked a shot at goal that David de Gea got a firm touch on but couldn’t prevent hitting the back of the net.
It was everything that Keane wouldn’t stand for as a player, and the reason why his stints in management post-Sunderland have been explosive.
At half time it didn’t take much to set him off, Kelly Cates and Patrice Evra provided the prompts as the one time Celtic midfielder provided some very memorable telly.
Late in the second half United equalised through a Bruno Fernandes penalty, aftrwards Keane mellowed enough to allow de Gea back on the bus to Manchester.
