Celtic appear to have almost emptied the well of goodwill from supporters ahead of a potentially record breaking season.
Normally at this time of the year fans can expect a major charm offensive as anyone wavering over renewing their Season Ticket has their heart-strings tugged on.
Regular adverts remind fans of the magic that their 21 match Season Ticket entitles them to with a subtle reminder that they don’t want to miss out on history.
This year things have gone rather cold with SLO John Paul Taylor left to fire-fight as the club quietly attempts to bring in the usual value on Season Tickets with no assurances that fans will be able to attend a single match in person.
Virtual Season Tickets are part of the solution but the way that a positive development has been handled isn’t likely to top any Customer Satisfaction Surveys.
Most Season Ticket holders make a big contribution to the club above the cost of their ticket. Paying for European matches, cup tickets and merchandise could easily double the outlay before travel and catering is taken into account.
A refund on the 2019/20 season is available but fans haven’t been contacted about it, for next season there will be no refund with the club considering the Virtual option to be of equal value although there is a promise of unspecified ‘additional value’.
With no allowance given for households with more than one Season Ticket fans are starting to question the one-way nature of their relationship with the club.
Neil Lennon, the players, 9-in-a-row and an eagerly awaited kit deal with Adidas have generated enormous goodwill at a challenging time for almost all supporters. Unfortunately, in the Celtic boardroom the spreadsheet projections dominate with margins and profit all that matters.
Best of luck JP with your near impossible task.

Don’t hold your breath Sir. Sad to say all of this has been handled appallingly. No dialogue, no information. No goodwill or appreciation of fans commitment over the years.
Understand these are difficult times but that applies to us all. Being taken for granted yet again. Poor— Eddie Toner (@eddie_toner) June 8, 2020
JP, 3 ST holders in my hoose. Is the club going to offer a discount as the 3 of us will be watching games on the one telly? Bit daft getting charged 2-3 times more than other people during the period we can’t attend games. A cash discount? Discount on new strips? Free bar?!

That’s horrendous for households with more than one ST holders. We should surely be coming up with better than that? Motherwell and Dun Utd have shown the way ahead. Poor show Celtic.

Been handled terribly by the club

4 season tkts In household iv got to pay 4 times to watch the same TV its a joke
— Joe marshall (@celticjack2) June 8, 2020
Poor show no multi home SBs refunds. If you have 3 SB holder’s in same house you could be paying £1500 to get the same product ill get for £500 as a single SB home. Club need to rethink this for these fans based on how many virtual games they need to watch b4 returning to CP ?

They may or similar, they have stated they have said they will provide added value throughout the season

That’s a winning suggestion that Charles, got to be a trial run

You may be allowed to attend any games this year but the price is the same. Beggars belief
— mick rooney (@mickr48) June 8, 2020
Shocking, paying full price to watch games on the Tele. Households with more than 1 book paying for games on TV multiple times per game

A club like no other ripping off its own fans
— ParkheadRFB (@ParkheadRFB) June 8, 2020
Frankly ridiculous to be honest. I’m paying £600 to watch matches in the house and there’s no hope of even partial refunds for fixtures which have to be played behind closed doors? Couple with the farce of the refund for last season this is incredibly underhand from the club.
