Ibrox fans turned on Alfredo Morelos after a trademark strop during the 2-0 friendly win over Coventry City.
For the fourth match running the chunky striker failed to find the net with Steven Gerrard hauling him off in the 62nd minute.
The chin sank into his neck, the bottom lip sprouted up and the scowl grew across his face. Worse still he pulled off the black armband, in respect of David Hagan, threw it to the ground as he trudged towards the tunnel, ignored by Steven Gerrard as Gary McAllister’s attempt at a handshake was ignored.
With Jermain Defoe crocked with a hamstring strain Morelos is the only striking option open to Gerrard with the start of the season a week away and the war-chest empty.
