Tam McManus has claimed that Steven Fletcher has bought a place in Glasgow and is keen on a move to Celtic.

The former Hibs, Dundee and Livingston striker has appeared on Radio Scotland, The Herald and PLZ Soccer in recent years as he attempts to carve out a media career, in the season ahead he will team up with David Tanner as the faces of Hibs TV.

Fletcher was famously a Celtic signing target in January 2009 but Rod Petrie held firm with Peter Lawwell switching his attention to Willo Flood as Burnley snapped up the Hibs striker.

The 33-year-old has regularly been linked with Celtic at various stages down the years, in the season just finished he scored 13 goals in 30 matches with his final appearance coming on June 20.

With major question marks over Leigh Griffiths’ future the timing could be right for Fletcher to join Celtic, giving Neil Lennon the option to play two up front or to rest Odsonne Edouard for certain fixtures.
