Lee O’Connor is reported to be close to completing a loan deal to Tranmere Rovers who were relegated to League Two at the end of last season.
Celtic signed O’Connor at the same time as Jeremie Frimpong but while the former Manchester City prospect kicked on O’Connor has found his Celtic options limited.
In January he moved on loan to Partick Thistle but only made four appearances before the season was cut short.

Jones has worked in the media departments at Tranmere, Huddersfield,Burley and Halifax and sems to be a reliable source with contacts across the north-west of England.
O’Connor is highly rated within the Irish international set up, making an assured top team debut against New Zealand last November but that wasn’t followed up by any real progress at Celtic.
There seems to be little prospect of much football below first team level at Celtic with Jack Hendry and Marian Shved going on loan to Belgium, Ross Doohan to Ross County and others expected to get fixed up as the lower leagues emerge from Lockdown.
