After being involved in a ‘tug-of-war’ between Lille and Porto a concrete offer has now come in for Alfredo Morelos.
Colombian website Don Balon broke the story with the Daily Record happy to run with the story that Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart are battling it out for the £20m rated striker.
The use of the term concrete seems quite appropriate after Morelos’ recent performance against Leverkusen in the Europa League. It’s unlikely that the German’s were impressed by the mobility of the Colombian ace.
Concrete in thia context means someone haa phoned up and asked if he’s for sale. Though lost in translation as they actually said was Is he still for sale? and laughed quite a bit afterwards https://t.co/ipT6aTC5Rl

Even when he was playing and scoring in the first half of last season there was no transfer interest in Morelos, especially with Ibrox cheerleaders lumping an extra couple of million on to his valuation every time he netted against Kilmarnock or Motherwell.
A complete failure to score against Celtic alongside seven red cards over an 18 month period has ensured that no serious interest has been shown in Morelos.
With Cedric Itten and Kemar Roofe signed last month Steven Gerrard is looking at life beyond Morelos but that is dependent on a face-saving offer in the region of £20m.
A loan move to any Spanish team close to transfer deadline day on October 5 is a more likely outcome than concrete arriving from the Bundesliga.
