Lockdown and Lockout appear to be having a devastating impact on some online Celtic supporters.

Deprived of their matchday routine since the beginning of March extra time is being spent online with negative views and opinions in the majority.

The word unprecedented seems to have been overlooked, we’re not living in normal times yet the same demands and expectations are being put on the players and management.

Right now the team is in the middle of five matches in 16 days, that run could be extended by a match in Sarajevo. Picking a first XI and sticking with it would be madness.

As soon as the team is announced the critics are out. Scott Brown’s inclusion seems a sore point for many, James Forrest is the manager’s favourite (for good reason, see St Mirren in midweek) and Greg Taylor is barely capable of getting past the halfway line/ beating an opponent or delivering a worthwhile cross.

Ryan Christie’s goal yesterday sort of dismantled the Taylor criticism.

A 5-0 win at Ross County gets slaughtered, a 3-2 win over Livingston is equally slammed.

During the last half hour yesterday the team dropped a gear, that is hard to deny however Livi scored from a debatable penalty and a once-in-a-career wonder strike. Even the analysts with stats for everything don’t have a remedy for that.

The team is top of the league, has dropped two points out of 21 with significant new signings in Shane Duffy, Albian Ajeti and Varilis Barkas finding their feet and making an impression.

It doesn’t look like happening soon but the quicker fans can get back inside Celtic Park and create new routines the better, for everyone’s well-being.
