He has been linked without any success to clubs across the globe, now Melchester Rovers have gone public to deny interest in Alfredo Morelos.
Since January 2018 when a mystery club from China made a mystery offer for the striker there has been constant speculation of interest in the chunky Ibrox hero.
Over 90% of the stories have originated from Scotland although a recent trend has been for stories to emerge from Colombia or little known foreign websites before being given the full treatment which usually consists of ‘lining up a bid’, ‘set to swoop’, ‘preparing an offer’ or the low key old favourite of ‘keeping tabs’.
Along the way Morelos has signed two contract extensions to the deal that he signed when he left HJK Helsinki in 2017 when he was identified by the Pedro Caixinha scouting team.
