Scott Brown is expected to be fit and available for today’s match against Hibs.

The Celtic skipper was on the receiving end of a brutal challenge in the second half of the midweek win away to Riga that booked a place in the Europa League Play Off round.

Brown has started all 10 of Celtic’s matches this season alongside Callum McGregor with that partnership looking like continuing for today’s visit from Hibs.

Lennon told The Sun:

Scott was OK after the game in Latvia. He was scraped down the back of his calf. Talking to him on the flight back home, he didn’t seem too concerned about it. It was a shocking challenge and I thought it warranted more than a yellow card.

Today’s team news will be eagerly awaited in terms of formation as well as which players are selected.

Hibs certainly have more of an attacking threat than any of the domestic opponents that Celtic have faced so far this season with Lennon unable to get the balance right in his preferred 3-5-2 line up.

Greg Taylor has struggled to fill the left sided role in that system which could see the return of a four man defence.

There has been no word on Chris Jullien’s fitness after he missed the last two matches, Jeremie Frimpong is expected to replace the injured James Forrest.
