Sky Sports have confirmed Celtic’s interest in taking Ryan Sessegnon on loan from Spurs.
A year ago the 20-year-old was a £25m signing from Fulham as Spurs went local for a left-back at the same time as Arsenal signed Kieran Tierney.
The big move didn’t live up to expectations with Sessegnon starting just four EPL matches last season and not involved at all under Jose Mourinho this term.
Wages will be a major issue to overcome if any deal is to be made but it’s likely that Celtic have been given some encouragement before making an approach.

A number of EPL clubs are also reported to be interested in Sessegnon but a move to Celtic could be the perfect pick me up after the disappointments of last season.
Neil Lennon is looking to add one left sided player to his squad before the transfer window closes on Monday.
There has been persistent speculation linking Celtic with Charlton’s Alfie Doughty but if a deal could be struck for Sessegnon the problem position would almost certainly be resolved.
