Steven Gerrard has revealed that new signing Bongani Zungu is in quarantine.
The South African ace was signed on loan from the French Second Division on transfer deadline day but there has been very little coverage of the 28-year-old who has been injury jinxed over the last three years.
No positive tests have so far been reported from Ibrox but it seems that Zungu is their first player to be put in Quarantine.
?? SG: Bongani Zungu is currently in quarantine so we sadly won’t see him for another 10 days or so. We have sorted him with gym equipment so he can train from home.

If he is unavailable for 10 days or so it would suggest that the case has been detected very recently. For the health of others his close contacts should be self isolating.
There has been no coverage of whether Zungu has been given a Work Permit, coming from the French Second Division with little recent international experience a very strong case would have to be made to allow the 28-year-old to work in Scotland.
Gerrard already has Ryan Jack, Scott Arfield, Steve Davis, Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara and Ianis Hagi competing for midfield places with starlets Greg Docherty and Young McCrorie sold for token fees during the summer transfer window.
