Diego Laxalt has been added to Celtic’s Europa League squad at the expense of Luca Connell.
The Uruguayan internationalist was signed on transfer deadline day and will be available for the Europa League opener against his parent club, AC Milan on October 22.
Connell was signed last summer from Bolton but has yet to make it onto the bench for a competitive match.
Neil Lennon has been able to name a very strong squad but will have to assess a number of issues after the international break before he can begin to pick a team for the match against AC Milan.
There had been some doubt over whether Laxalt would be able to play against the side that he was with as recently as the weekend but Celtic found themselves in a similar situation in 2013 when Mo Bangura played for Elfsborg in a Champions League qualifier.
