Celtic will avoid all of the big guns in today’s Europa League draw after Neil Lennon’s side made it into Pot 1 following their 1-0 win over Sarajevo.
Arsenal and Spurs are the highest ranked of the 48 clubs in the draw followed by Roma and Napoli with Celtic assured of avoiding all of those sides.
The highest ranked team in Pot 2 is Dinamo Zagreb but there is danger and intrigue within every pot with Leicester City, Rapid Vienna and Real Sociedad also in that Pot.
Pot 3 includes AC Milan, AEK Athens and Cluj while Pot 4 has Irish champions Dundalk, Nice and CSKA Sofia.
The draw takes place at noon today Celtic Park Time with the first batch of matches taking place on October 22, October 29 and November 5.
The October 29 match will be followed three days later by Celtic’s Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen.
