Jeremie Frimpong enjoyed a full 90 minutes plus at Hampden today as Celtic booked a place in next month’s Scottish Cup Final.

In his last appearance at the National Stadium Willie Collum issued a red card with the young defender left to suffer in the dressing room as Fraser Forster put up the shutters to claim the Betfred Cup.

After the final whistle the phrase ‘Oh My Days’ was launched as Frimpong shared his views on an emotional day.

There was less drama in today’s visit to the National Stadium with Frimpong starting off at right-back the pushing one place forward in the last 20 minutes after Ryan Christie was substituted.

Two first half goals ensured Celtic progressed to meet Hearts in next month’s final with Frimpong helping the defence achieve their first clean sheet since the October 4 win away to St Johnstone.
