Stephen Gerrard has praised Ibrox party boys Jordan Jones and George Edmundson for being remorseful and apologetic.

While team-mate Scotty Arfield missed out on celebrating his 32nd birthday two of his team-mates were arranging a private party that ended up with 10 people being fined. The other eight remain unknown.

After being left out of the 1-0 win away to Kilmarnock Jones, widely regarded as the Ibrox Social Convener, arranged for a late-night party in Glasgow’s West End.

The party ended when Police Scotland appeared in the early hours of November 2 with a statement coming out of Ibrox before mid-day with both players suspended and put into self-isolation.

Yesterday the SFA suspended both players for seven matches, so far this season Jones has started one match with Edmundson yet to make the starting XI.

The suspension ends of December 30 allowing both players to go out on loan in January, neither made it into Gerrard’s Europa League squad.
