Celtic fans were quick to praise the Green Brigade as they unfurled a banner of protest at the club hierarchy along with a brilliantly worded statement.

While club sources brief Keith Jackson and Jim White to demonise the fans it took until 48 hours after the defeat from Ross County for Peter Lawwell to speak directly to the support. His bland rallying call lacked any conviction or passion, the disconnection across the club widened.

A whole range of issues have come to the fore on the back of a run of two wins in 11 matches that have saw the club humiliated in Europe, knocked out of the Betfred Cup and trailing badly in the SPFL.

Neil Lennon has been put up in front of the media before and after matches, his comments after the 4-2 defeat from AC Milan seemed related to a different match to the one watched by fans who watched a two goal lead thrown away.

The club is present on a number of Social Media platforms but seem reluctant to communicate direct with fans, their silence isn’t going down well with a support looking for tangible signs that those inside the club share the passion and care of the fans that contribute hugely to the club in various forms.
