Four days on from Celtic’s defeat to Ross County in the Betfred Cup there is still heavy coverage of the scenes after the match.

Later on Sunday night Celtic issued a statement claiming that management and players were targeted by missiles which has become a leading news story with a question asked to the First Minister about it on Monday.

Tuesday’s Daily Record, while quoting from a source close to Dermot Desmond, mentioned a baying mob but while highly regrettable it seems that a very small number of people have created the narrative away from Celtic’s dismal performances on the park.

The By The Minute Celtic podcast discussed the issue with Harry Brady passing on what he had heard about the after match protests.

I know, and it’s not made up that there was stones thrown at a couple of cars. My understanding from a couple of people is that there was 200 to 250 people there and there was probably, like you would get in any walk of life, there was probably about 20 bampots there.

Celtic’s next home match is on Sunday when St Johnstone visit on SPFL duty.
