Brian McNally watched another instalment in Celtic’s disastrous season with disbelief.

When you think that things can’t get much worse they manage to surpass themselves with more points shipped in a 2-2 draw with Livingston compounded by a red card for Scott Brown after five minutes on the snow covered pitch.

All of the usual failings were there with a central defence consisting of a converted midfielder alongside an on-loan defender probably having the worst season of his professional life.

Moi Elyounoussi and Nir Bitton provided two moments of escape during the first half with well taken goals but this season Celtic’s fragile defence is always capable of undoing whatever good work is going on elsewhere.

On the hour mark the defence was opened up down the right with the huge figure of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas brushing Greg Taylor aside to level the scores.

The last half hour of the match was evenly contested on a surface disappearing under snow, much like this season has for Celtic with the former Sunday Mirror reporter summing up the despair and frustration of the watching fans.
