Celtic and Newcastle United are in transfer talks over Olivier Ntcham.
The midfielder made two substitute appearances in December against AC Milan and Ross County as he slips down the pecking order at Celtic.
Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull are now regular starters in the Celtic side with club captain Scott Brown also finding his appearances limited.
Ntcham is out of contract in June 2022 with both Celtic and Newcastle looking to get the best possible deal before the transfer window closes in England at 11pm on Monday.

Celtic paid Manchester City £4.5m for Ntcham in July 2017 with the midfielder having a key role as Celtic retained the Treble and enjoyed a rare Champions League win away to Anderlecht.
Since the departure of Moussa Dembele he has failed to regularly hit the same heights, this season he has started seven SPFL matches and came on as a substitute in another seven games.
A transfer fee for Ncham added to the Jeremie Frimpong deal would balance the books following Celtic’s net spend during the summer window with Peter Lawwell standing down as CEO at the end of June.
