Celtic’s official Twitter account opted out of sharing news from Neil Lennon’s lunchtime media conference.
From other sources Celtic fans were fed the bad news of a club that doesn’t seem to have much of a plan to build and develop a squad of players capable of realising the claim that Celtic are a Champions League club.
The last three seasons have suggested otherwise with the willingness to sell Jeremie Frimpong highlighting the lack of ambition from the club.

The 20-year-old is one of the most promising players to have emerged over the last two months, sure he has had his wobbles but his quality and attitude can’t be questioned.
Radio Clyde and Sky Sports relayed the news that Frimpong was elsewhere negotiating a move but worse was to follow when fan site The Cynic revealed that other players were looking to leave. Fortunately Neil Lennon doesn’t expect many to go.
Social media is a great platform for clubs to connect with supporters but it has to be a two way street, wishing a former manager Happy Birthday isn’t really the news that fans are looking out for in the final days of the transfer window.
