The Celtic sell off is underway with Neil Lennon confirming that the 20-year-old is abroad negotiating a transfer.
Frimpong has been a regular in the Celtic side this season and is under contract until June 2023 with Manchester City believed to have a 30% sell-on clause on any fee.
Late this morning there were some tweets that the player was undergoing a medical with the Celtic boss confirming the news at his media conference.

BREAKINGNeil Lennon confirms Celtic defender Jeremie Frimpong is “abroad” speaking to a club about a permanent transfer

If the move is completed it leaves Hatem Abd Elhamed, Kris Ajer and Tony Ralston as Celtic’s options to play at right-back with the only genuine alternative to James Forrest also ending.
Elhamed is believed to be hoping for a return to Israel, Ralston has played one match this season while Ajer’s presence is badly needed in the centre of defence with Chris Jullien out injured.
Ajer, Odsonne Edouard, Olivier Ntcham and Ryan Christie are all out of contract in June 2022 and would seem to be more obvious assets for sale than Frimpong.
