Irvine Welsh has hit back at the at the professional victims who were upset by his half-time comments on Hibs TV.
The stream was only available to Hibs Season Ticket holders but through Social Media his comments about Alfredo Morelos seeped out.
Sensitive Ibrox fans were quickly on the scent of the non-story, contacting newspapers, their club, football authorities and even Ofcom to register their second hand outrage.
The Ibrox SLO claimed that Hibs had apologised but no one told Welsh with the SFA ordering them to hand over footage with a view to a fine.
When I said ‘Some of Hibs recent performances have been as appetizing as the contents of Dennis Neilson’s fridge’ I didn’t LITERALLY mean I would rather eat the contents of his fridge rather than watch Hibs play.

For decades the SFA has tolerated racist chants being heard at Ibrox without taking any action, in the 2019/20 UEFA twice closed sections of the stadium as punishment for racist actions.
