Celtic made an unexpected media move tonight with John Kennedy on duty after tonight’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen.

With the Managerial Review announced in December not really answered by Ian Bankier’s statement everything around Neil Lennon is being investigated to see if it gives any clues as to whether or not he will be stepping aside.

When Liam Shaw’s signing was announce some fans took it as a sign that Lennon will be involved next season but the lack of incoming transfers in January suggests otherwise.

On Monday, Bankier stated:

It is worth saying that over the period in question, the football manager has addressed each and every game we have played.

Strangely, in the first match after that comment it was the assistant manager that spoke to Celtic TV, Radio Scotland and hosted the general media conference for broadcasters and publishers.

With two games a week and tonight being Celtic’s fifth match in 16 days there is a danger that there is little fresh that Lennon can say with each fixture requiring a pre and post match media conference.

Celtic hit the road to Ross County on Sunday with a pre-match conference expected on Friday, with that match live on TV Sky Sports will be given a couple of exclusive interviews to preview the match.
