Celtic’s SLO John Paul Taylor has denied a claim that players rejected to take part in Zoom calls with vulnerable fans.

The issue cropped up in a roundabout way during Monday’s ACSOM show when Kevin Graham recalled a Zoom meeting with delegates from the Affiliation of Celtic Supporters Club held last Thursday.

It was claimed that in a pre-Christmas meeting it was put to Taylor and Peter Lawwell that it would be appreciated if the players contacted some fans by Zoom call. The feedback was apparently that the players declined the suggestion.

While other clubs have been contacting supporters and Season Tickets holder to ask about their welfare there has been no evidence of that from Celtic.

With the club, including the CEO, directors, PR staff and other virtually abandoning direct communication with fans it is understandable for the players to take the same viewpoint.
