Celtic’s goals against Motherwell on Saturday were contrasting but brilliantly executed.
From their perch behind the goal Celtic TV was able to capture both goals perfectly as the hoops managed to put together back-to-back victories.
First up was Stephen Welsh with his first top team goal. David Turnbull’s corners have given the side a fresh dimension, when he fired one in after three minutes the young central defender timed his jump and execution to perfection as he headed powerfully into the net.
Goal number two was far more involved as Celtic pressed down the right, switched play to the left to create an opening for Odsonne Edouard who turned sharply and drilled a low shot into the net.
There should have been more goals to record but a couple of good chances were passed up before a deflected Allan Campbell shot spun over Scott Bain into the Celtic net.
That created a nervy closing 20 minutes but Celtic held on and go to St Mirren on Wednesday looking to build some momentum.
