After more than a month of open hostility Celtic’s Social Media team can come out of their bunker and re-engage with supporters.

As Neil Lennon and the club doubled down in the management of the club fans took to Twitter to express their anger about results, attitudes and the failure of the club to follow up on the promise of a managerial review promised in December.

For many fans John Kennedy is too closely associated with the failures of this season but a large number are prepared to give the Interim boss a chance and see if he can brighten up a season that has been bleaker than any could have imagined.

Kennedy wasn’t on a charm offensive when he was interviewed by Gerry McCulloch on Celtic TV but spoke with an honesty about getting more from a talented group of players that have been under severe pressure and criticism for five months or more.

The SPFL title is as good as gone with the Scottish Cup unlikely to be competed for but there are eight matches left to salvage something from for next season.

A major overhaul is anticipated in the summer, a new manager, CEO and probably a Director of Football are expected to be in place in January with the remaining matches the chance for some others to play their way into future plans.
