A report from Italy claims that a permanent move to Celtic for Diego Laxalt is in great doubt. That could be an understatement!
Since the turn of the year the on loan AC Milan defender has been replaced by Greg Taylor at left-back although he did make an early appearance at Ross County last week with tragic results over the only goal of the game.
Celtic signed Laxalt towards the end of the summer transfer window in October to give them the option to return to the 3-5-2 formation that served them so well last season.
After making his debut in the October Glasgow Derby defeat things rapidly went downhill for the player and Celtic.

Laxalt has a year to run on his Serie A style contract, there seems to be very little chance of Celtic matching those terms with little in his appearances to date suggesting that he capable of making a positive contribution to the side.
Celtic also have loan deals on Jonjoe Kenny, Shane Duffy and Moi Elyounoussi. Boli Bolingoli remains a Celtic player under contract until June 2023.
