Hatem Abd Elhamed is set to leave Celtic for a return to Israel.
The defender was signed for £1.6m from Hapoel Be’er Sheva and shared the right-back position with Jeremie Frimpong until he was injured in the win away to Lazio in November.
In December it was reported that the player’s family had returned to Israel with Celtic trying to arrange a deal that suited the player and the club as Neil Lennon revealed in his post match interview with Radio Scotland after the 2-1 win over Motherwell.

Elhamed started nine matches this season with his last appearance being as a substitute at Ibrox on January 2.
With Jeremie Frimpong leaving for Bayer Leverkusen Celtic brought in Jonjoe Kenny on loan with the Everton defender playing the full 90 minutes in today’s 2-1 win over Motherwell.
Kris Ajer can also cover at right-back but with two right-backs that were signed during the summer 2019 transfer window Celtic are short of options in that area of the team. Anthony Ralston played in last month’s 0-0 home draw with Livingston but that has been his only appearance of the season.
2 many #fakenews in the last weeks.
