Celtic appear to have ditched their usual Friday media conference but they did make Neil Lennon available to Sky Sports to get his thoughts ahead of Sunday’s match at St Johnstone.

Normally early afternoon on a Friday, BBC Scotland, STV, Radio Clyde and other broadcasters such as Peter Martin’s PLZ Soccer are presented with an opportunity to question the Celtic manager and obtain content for their websites.

Albian Ajeti was put in front of the broadcasters on Thursday but there was no sign of Lennon whose thoughts were broadcast by Sky Sports in mid-morning then repeated throughout the day on Sky Sports News.

At 5pm on Friday no other broadcaster had any quotes from the Celtic boss.

Celtic could host a media conference tomorrow but as at 5pm on Friday only Sky Sports were able to speak to the Celtic manager, ironically a couple of weeks ago Lennon promised to cut access to the broadcaster with exclusive rights to SPFL Premiership matches until Andy Walker apologised.

There has been no apology from the former Bolton and Celtic striker who has been on co-commentator duty at Celtic’s matches away to Livingston, Kilmarnock and St Mirren.
