It looks like being another classic own goal- of the digital and global type.

At the start of December Celtic promised their fans a managerial review in the new year. Most took that to mean January but 36 days after Hogmanay they are still in the dark about the content and outcome of the review.

While those in the boardroom seem to have forgotten about the review anyone taking a look at Social Media, the area of expertise for new partners Dugout, will be well aware of the mood of fans. It will take more than a 4-0 win at Kilmarnock and global partnership for fans to get over the events of this season.

Last week Peter Lawwell announced that he was retiring as CEO, two matches later Neil Lennon remains in place and is dropping more hints about his plans for next season.

As the executives of Dugout get to terms with their new client they might realise that it is looking more challenging than six months or a year ago. The fans are calling out for a change of management.

If recent trends are continued nothing that the club publishes digitally will escape the wrath of fans, not quite the message that you want to share with new global partners.

Peter Lawwell hasn’t commented on the statement, leaving Head of Marketing and Multimedia Kelly Kennan to praise the exciting new partnership.
