Nicola Sturgeon’s political woes have just been amplified by a Tweet that pays scant recognition to widespread law breaking under the watchful eye of Police Scotland.
Across Scotland families have been unable to meet up, parents have missed out on Christening’s, Birthday’s, Anniversaries and had restricted numbers at funerals as they obey the Law of the Land. Apparently, it will get better at some stage down the line.
Over the weekend Social Media has shared images of widespread law breaking with thousands making non-essential journeys, ignoring social bubbles and encouraged by a Football Club that seem to see themselves as above the law.
Steven Gerrard car shared in order to get a video of his triumphant drive to Ibrox as Police Officers battled to hold back crushed up fans. After the game he was hanging out the dressing room window to take in more adoration.
I congratulate @RangersFC on the title win & recognise what a moment this is for fans. But gathering in crowds just now risks lives, and could delay exit from lockdown for everyone else. If those gathering care at all about the safety of others & the country, they will go home. https://t.co/MjzJJEhhsd

Public Health and backing the law of the land should be far more important than glory hunting from sporting events.
This afternoon Police Scotland effectively advertised George Square as a gathering point then stood back and allowed social distancing to collapse.
Across the next few days the people that mixed with random strangers will return to their families, their bubbles and go about their normal business. Taking kids to school, visiting supermarkets etc.
With the congratulations of the First Minister the rest of the population has a precedent should they wish to ignore Lockdown and meet up in large numbers then cross their fingers and hope that the NHS isn’t overwhelmed in the aftermath.
Nice to know you’re still alive Nicola!! Maybe if you had condemned yesterdays idiotic gathering at Ibrox this wouldn’t be happening today!!! You have put the country at risk with your silence yesterday. That is pretty disturbing.

Well you know where you can stick your lock down rules now since they seem to be optional. Lock down is over ?
