The odds on Chris Wilder becoming the next Celtic manager are easing out with Enzo Maresca and John Kennedy currently the clear favourites.

As word emerged that Wilder was leaving Sheffield United there seemed to be a flurry of bets on him replacing Neil Lennon but 10 days after quitting Brammall Lane there seems to be nothing to back up the initial speculation.

Interest in Maresca seems entirely down to Fergal Harkin coming in as Director of Football and bringing Manchester City’s u-23 coach as part of the deal.

As the man in possession Kennedy is a more logical choice than most but in his three matches in charge there has been no noticeable change in performances with supporters looking to get behind something different and new.

Roy Keane is fourth favourite and never far away from any Celtic manager market with another wave of speculation linking him with the job he turned down in 2014.

If you look far enough you can find odds for Mark Warburton, Craig Levein and Terry Butcher as the bookies hope to reel in a few fivers and tenners on a market which is generally very much in their favour.
