So far there has been little coming out of the American side about Patryk Klimala’s proposed move to New York RB.

According to Transfermakt the highest fee that New York RB has paid this season is the £450,000 fee paid to Brentford for Dru Yearwood.

The reports from Scotland have suggested that a fee close to £3.5m will be paid for Klimala which based on his form over the last year would be a decent deal for Celtic.

Last night New York lost their opening MLS match 2-1 at home to Kansas City, summing things up Once A Metro reported:

Fullback Tom Edwards should soon provide needed competition for Kyle Duncan, and rumoured transfers for Cincinnati midfielder Frankie Amaya and Celtic striker Patryk Klimala appear all but completed. New York turns around for a road trip to Southern California to face LA Galaxy next Sunday, hoping perhaps some sunshine and new faces can help Struber earn his first win on this side of the Atlantic.

Andrew Gutman played the full match at left-back for New York with Cameron Harper listed as a substitute but not making an appearance.

Klimala started only three SPFL matches for Celtic this season, the last of them coming at home to Aberdeen on February 27.
