Luca Connell played a full part in some wild celebration scenes as Queens Park enjoyed a late win away to Edinburgh City on Saturday.
The win lifts the Spiders 15 points clear of the capital side with five matches left to play. Having won eight out of eight matches since the season resumed it looks like Connell will have a title winning party to enjoy with Tuesday’s home match against Elgin City the chance to make it all official.

Peter Grant gave Queens Park an early lead but Edinburgh City hit back with two goals early in the second half.
The ‘As It Stands’ table stood at nine points but goals in the 78th and 85th minutes from Murray turned the match around to put Queens in touching distance of the title and promotion.
With the backing of a full-time set up Queens will be among the favourites in League One next season, for Connell there could be an opening at Celtic or a loan option at a higher level- based on his Queens Park reports he wouldn’t be out of place at a Premiership club.
