Celtic’s most dramatic announcement came on Friday 20 May when Brendan Rodgers arrived as manager. While his name had been mentioned there was a real element of shock and surprise when Celtic managed to appoint the former Liverpool boss.
Now there is an expectation that Howe will be in charge, after more than two months without a permanent manager the announcement can’t come quickly enough with a massive turnover of players expected in the summer.
