The General Secretary of the Scottish Police Federation has shared gruesome images of the injury some Officers sustained in Glasgow city centre on Saturday night.
Despite a similar event at the start of March and advance warning through Social Media the ordinary officers on the street were left ill-equipped with thousands of Covidiots determined to enforce their beliefs and attitudes on the rest of the population.
The issue of Policing will clearly be reviewed as the investigations begin but on the front-line Officers were under attack with no footage showing those involved getting arrested. It seems that CCTV will have to identify the culprits.
No matter how unbelievably lucky we are to have such courageous officers protecting our communities, none of them – NONE – deserve this.
Just two of the officers injured in yesterday’s carnage in the West of Scotland.

2/3 in particular the SPF should demand a public apology from @RangersFC for the carnage inflicted in their name, injuries to officers and for wrecking Glasgow City Centre in the name of ‘celebrations’. Strangely, nothing from the club so far.

Have a word with @RangersFC will you. Maybe suggest they pay more for their policing in future ?????

Today there has been no comment out of Ibrox, no condemnation of the fans that overshadowed the club’s first title win.
That probably tells more about the issue than anything else. This time there has been no sign of an angry statement to appease the extremists on message-boards and Social Media.
Perhaps the images of badly injured Police Officers and hundreds of arrests will finally force a change of attitude and a push to eliminate a long term blight on Scottish society.
