The club from Ibrox have refused to issue a simple STAY AWAY message to fans intending to gather at Ibrox on Saturday then match to George Square.

On Tuesday Police Scotland issued a warning for fans to stay away from Ibrox and George Square following the chaos, vandalism and spike in positive cases that occurred at the start of March when the SPFL Premiership title was one.

Steven Gerrard and his players fully encouraged the law breaking by running to the fans, drinking in front of them and screaming out the Dressing Room window. No action was taken by Police Scotland or the football authorities.

Similar scenes are expected this weekend with the Scottish Government leaving the issue to the Police and the Ibrox club to prevent further scenes of public disorder and law breaking.

This afternoon the club stated:

Please celebrate this historic day for our club in a safe and sensible manner, respecting public safety- adhering to the current government guidelines and restrictions which are still in place.

In particular, please be mindful of the government guidelines regarding gathering in large numbers. If possible, please celebrate within your own community.

Once again, we thank you for your unrivalled support, and look forward to welcoming you back to our stadium to create the famous Ibrox atmosphere, once restrictions permit.

Coupled with Steven Gerrard’s appeal to the authorities to have a heart with law breakers and Covidiots it looks like Police Scotland are up against the odds again this weekend.
