Kerry Keenan has welcomed news that Scotland could be on the brink of having stadiums full of fans watching football matches.

Jason Leitch, the National Clinical Director, gave the news this afternoon on Radio Scotland with Celtic fans delighted by the news.

As the last 18 months has taught us nothing can be taken for granted but the normally cautious Scottish Government seems to be gearing up for good news from mid-August.

Keenan is Head of Marketing and Multi Media at Celtic, the return of fans inside the stadium will be something that will benefit every area of the club.

Dom McKay was asked about the lack of connection between the club and many supporters, his reply was that having supporters back inside the stadium would be a big boost in bringing all areas of the club closer together.

Celtic host Midtjylland in a Champions League qualifier on July 20. There could be another tie after that with the first SPFL match at home to Dundee on Saturday August 7, exactly 17 months after over 50,000 watched a 5-0 win at home to St Mirren, the last time that fans were inside Celtic Park.
