Chris Jullien is looking on his knee injury as the opportunity for rebirth.

A week after completing his medal collection by helping Celtic to beat Hearts in the delayed final of the Scottish Cup his season ended when his knee collided with a goalpost at home to Dundee United in the last match of 2020.

Jullien has yet to kick a ball in earnest this year but keeps his followers fully posted on Social Media as he completes the final stages of his rehab.

With Kris Ajer looking for a transfer the return of Jullien to full fitness would be a big boost for new manager Ange Postecoglou.

The Australian is expected to be at Lennoxtown on Thursday to assess his squad with the defence especially short on numbers.

Shane Duffy, Diego Laxalt and Jonjoe Kenny have returned to their parent clubs with Stephen Welsh and Nir Bitton the only recognised central defenders currently available.
