Pat Nevin was doing Pat Nevin things on BBC Five Live last night.
Normally the Monday Night Club contains some lively and informed debate as Chris Sutton stands his ground and invites challenges.
Mark Chapman is normally a very capable host.
Last night the only topic worth discussing was the 114 EPL charges against Manchester City.
Joe Hart was a fairly logical guest to give the thoughts of someone inside the club.
But why Pat Nevin was given air-time is completely beyond explanation.
True as CEO of Motherwell he led the club into administration in 2002 but it is contrived to link that in any way to the multiple charges that City now appear to have been found guilty of.
Nevin is of course the master of make believe. He can conjure up almost anything. As long as there is a media payment in it wee Pat is your man, he can deliver on any topic.
THE FANTASY WORLD OF PAT NEVIN
Last night was another Nevin Fantasy.
Apparently the case against City is comparable to what happened to Rangers in 2012.
According to wee Pat Rangers were sent down the divisions. A complete lie but a comforting tale put out by BBC Scotland, the Daily Record, Radio Clyde and STV to insulate their audiences from reality.
Rangers had 10 points deducted during season 2011/12. When the season ended Her Majesty refused a CVA sending Rangers into liquidation.
There wasn’t a club for the SFA to punish, if they had a mind to do it.
Pat Nevin has been on the bbc radio the past three days pushing a lie when talking about Man City comparing it to rangers . A lie that R2ngers went down the leagues as punishment for financial cheating. They were never punished for cheating at any point they were liquidated pic.twitter.com/XaT09MxtJb

Nevin’s appearance was purely to stay on message with his mates Kenny Macintyre, Tom English and Alasdair Lamont at BBC Scotland. Nevin performs on request.
THE BIG LIE PUSHED IN SCOTTISH FOOTBALL IN 2012
Claiming that ‘Rangers were sent down the divisions’ suits the favoured lie of Scottish football.
Rangers disappeared off the planet. Put into liquidation 276 creditors had to wait 12 years for a pennies in the pound settlement from BDO.
Nevin knows it, as do the lads at Radio Scotland. Only Jim Spence broadcast it, quickly followed by a tap on the shoulder and his BBC pay off. There is no place for honesty with the state broadcaster.
Manchester City are said to be ready to appeal the EPL findings and battle all the way.
Perhaps Nevin could explain why Rangers didn’t appeal against being sent down the divisions and can produce the SFA ruling that forced that through.
Nevin knows that it didn’t happen. There was no SFA demotion and best of all Rangers died in June 2012 so they weren’t around to appeal against the relegation decision from the SFA.
NOTE: Earlier this month the BBC published an apology over the lies that Nevin broadcast about Lawrence Shankland being punched by Celtic fans.
The BBC is entirely funded by people paying the £180 a year BBC licence.

Wee Nevin again after his eyes deceived him on the last day of the season. His Brain is not working again. Time for him to get his brain into gear or the BBC should release him.

Pat will do anything to hold onto his media gig. The problem is that he is not that good at the job.
